Mrs. Chapman grew up in Nowata, OK. She graduated from Nowata High school in 2003 and later from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK with a degree in Mental Health Psychology. Mrs. Chapman later began a career in social work, working with victims of domestic violence and teaching children coping skills. After 4 years in the social work field, Mrs. Chapman decided that being a teacher was her calling and went through the alternative certification program with the State of Oklahoma and gained her teaching certification. Mrs. Chapman taught for 1 year at Central Middle School in Bartlesville and then happily accepted a job at Dewey Middle School. She is currently teaching English Essentials, Life Skills, and provides special education services. Mrs. Chapman has been married to her husband for 2 years and has two beautiful, ornery little girls-Londyn and Madelyn.
